Courtyard in Tunbridge Wells

A courtyard garden was developed to provide the client with a secluded space with defined areas for dining and lounging. The walls were built with reclaimed stock bricks to connect to the house. There was an issue with the house flooding as the garden was raised so porous resin bound gravel was used for the terraces and drainage added to the lower paved area. Slatted Iroko fencing and gates added a contemporary feel and Pleached Hornbeam provided the screening. The planting was predominantly evergreens to provide all year structure.
