Project in Yalding
The garden of this Grade II* listed hall house required a complete overhaul. Pleached Holm Oak and Yew hedging was used to screen the garden from overlooking properties. A selection of specimen trees the Tibetan Cherry, Himalayan Birch and the Serviceberry provide bark interest, spring blossom and autumn leaf colour. Luxury Golden Stone porcelain was chosen to give warmth to the terraces and a mix of Seville and Coastal Red pavers were laid for the pathways. The planting was developed around a number of very mature trees with ornamental grasses used for their structural and textural characteristics intermingled with shrubs and perennials lighting up the garden with spots of colour throughout the year.
