Roof garden in Tunbridge Wells

Our clients wanted a simple but effective space to sit out in. We laid the paving on pegs as the roof is not reinforced, and we made use of lightweight GRP planters around the edges. We needed plants that could thrive in the drying winds at this height, so we used box hedging and ivy screens. We installed a timer-operated irrigation system to keep the plants watered, and a vertical water feature with illumination.
